  from what do you draw your self esteem, confidence, feelings of self worth etc.?.

  self esteem huh i have none but i used to get it from my skills as a carpenter always called and asked to be at the hall builds and stuff like that now its like yeah i can build stuff so what. the self esteem i get now is from beer

  are you one of those - or were - that for a long time, what really what made you stay even coming to the point of no-believe in the chronology and the gb?

  at the age of 16 i wanted to leave, actualy had it all planed out my cuz and i were out of there, but at the last minute i backed out. WHY? because of the fear of losing my family and friends and every thing i had ever known,scared of where to go and what to do.

  no at the age of 30 actualy 28 when i left im dealing with these things.

  some of the people i know that are still in are there for the same reasons not wanating to lose family and friends and not knowing where to go, its so sad how much control the borg has over the minds of the members

  Hey Lying,

  sounds too familar, i have many friends still in, and many i love dearly, its very hard when they ask when your comming back andwant to give literature. a couple months ago my 7 year old nephew asked my dad the elder,(one of thoes good elders that actualy cares ) to give me a watchtower cuz he misses me, talk about heart breaking.

  and about every other month the one elder from the cong. i attended that actualy has a good heart calls to ask what they can do to get me back its very hard to say i dont want to talk but you just have to make your stand

  as far as getting sucked back in, is ther anything they can say that can make you forget the reason you left? rember the books are written carfuly to get into the readers mind, so think with a open mind, dont just read and accept, the message they write is very appeling

  then make plans to be in mpls saturday july 20 for the tragically hip :) (tickets: $20 advance or $25 at the door) i promise this will be a great show!

  show starts at 7pm and we could meet at o'donovan's around 5ish for some pre-show festivities .
